Q: How many countries are represented
in the book?
A: Over 230 countries (including territories, islands,
etc) worldwide.
Q: How do I contact each of
these countries?
A: The “official” Tourism Website, additional Websites, Tourist Offices,
and Embassies are listed in each country section.
Q: I’ve heard that there are quarantines almost everywhere. Is this so?
A: No. Quarantine is most often found in island locations that are rabies-free.
There are many places that have no quarantine and are very happy to have your
pet join you on vacation.
Q: What forms are necessary to
enter various countries?
A: Each country’s entry specifically lists the requirements, including
the certificates, permits, inoculations, and special contacts if applicable.
Q: Can I learn if my pet can travel
on a certain airline of the world?
A: Most domestic airlines and international airlines have a policy about pets.
If in doubt, contact the individual airline. More than 300 airlines and their
Websites are listed in the Appendix for such a purpose.
Q: Does my pet have to go into
the cargo hold, or can it travel with me in the cabin?
A: Each airline has its own regulations regarding size and pet type that is allowed
in the cabin. Most pets less than 15 pounds would fit in a carry-on style bag
that fits under an airline seat. Always check with the specific airline before
ticketing.

can help plan international travel with pets?
A: Chapter 8-Help from the Internet- will give the reader many recommendations
that will be helpful in the planning stage of international travel.

our Products and Services page for direct links.

but it is entirely possible. They also require some additional steps prior to
leaving the U.S.

pets? Can they go internationally also?
A: Absolutely, yes. There may be extra restrictions, but it is possible to take
snakes, monkeys, turtles, ferrets, hamsters, gerbils, and others to far away
places.
Q: What is the best way to provide
