ArgentinaThere is no quarantine in Argentina. A certificate stating that the animal is in good health and has been inoculated against rabies (for dogs and cats) is required. This document must be issued by a veterinarian and certified at the nearest Consulate of Argentina. These certificates must be submitted to the consulate for legalization. Be advised that all the documentation must be obtained within 10 days prior the departure of the animal or otherwise it will be void. The airline must notify the station manager, at least 24 hours prior to arrival, at the point of entry giving notice of pets on board in order to ensure attendance of veterinary surgeon at the arrival airport. RESTRICTIONS: All animals (including cats and dogs) coming from Africa or Asia (except Japan) must obtain prior telex authorization from quarantine department (Senasa) in Argentina. An official International Health Certificate stating fowl plaque and psittacosis have not been diagnosed must accompany psittacine birds.
ArubaPets from South and Central America are not allowed. Otherwise, dogs, cats, parrots, and parakeets are permitted entry to the island when accompanied by a valid rabies and health certificate issued by a recognized veterinarian. The rabies vaccination should be issued 30 days prior to arrival. The International Health Certificate should be issued less than 14 days prior to arrival. Pets are not allowed at most hotels, however, so please check-in advance with your hotel to ask about its policy.

Bringing Dogs, Cats, Ferrets, and Other Domestic Pets into Austria from Third Countries as a Tourist Domestic PetsThe following fall under the category of domestic pets: dogs, cats, ferrets, invertebrates (with the exception of bees and crustaceans), tropical fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds (except fowls), as well as rodents, and rabbits whose owner (or other person appointed by the owner) accompanies the animals and is held responsible for them during travel, and which are not the object for sale nor are intended to be given away. A maximum of five animals per person are allowed to accompany the person traveling. Apart from dogs, cats, and ferrets accompanying persons from third countries to the EU must have identification papers and a veterinary certificate. Requirements for each animal:
When bringing in dogs, cats, and ferrets originating from a third country not subject to the regulations mentioned, one must concluded as follows: Titration of neutralized antibodies in a sample of at least 0.5 IE/ml taken by an authorized veterinarian at least thirty days following the vaccination and three months prior to bringing in the animal. This procedure needs not to be repeated in a domestic pet receiving a renewed vaccination within the designated time intervals. Re-entry of AnimalsIn the case of an animal re-entering the country, the animal must have identification papers (vaccination passport with expiration dated July 2005 at the latest or domestic pet certificate) in which the antibody titration is recorded. The time limit of three months is not valid for re-entry of a domestic pet whose passport reveals, that the titration shows positive results before this animal has left EU territory. Third Countries, for which the Regulations are ValidWhen bringing in dogs, cats, and ferrets originating from one of the countries mentioned below, one need not to present a veterinary certificate (certification not necessary) indicating determination of titer: Andorra, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Vatican City, Ascension, Antigua and Barbuda, Dutch Antilles, Australia, Aruba, Barbados, Bahrain, Bermuda, Canada, Fiji, Falkland Islands, Croatia, Jamaica, Japan, St. Kitts and Nevis, Cayman Islands, Montserrat, Mauritius, New Caledonia, New Zealand, French Polynesia, St. Pierre and Miquelon, Singapore, St. Helena, United States of America, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna, and Mayotte.Re-entry Each individual animal must have identification papers when re-entering the country (vaccination passport with expiration date of July 2005 at the latest, or domestic pet identification papers.) The regulation that a maximum number of five animals per person allowed to be brought into the country does not apply to the countries of Andorra, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, and Vatican City. BahamasAn import permit is required to bring any animal into the Bahamas. This
permit is available on line, www.bahamas.com
or by mail. There is a $10 processing fee. Dogs and cats less than six (6) months old from countries with rabies, such as the United States of America and Canada are prohibited entry into the Bahamas. For the U.S. and Canada, the following are the main provisions of the import permit as it applies to dogs and cats:
All requirements listed on the import permit must be followed unless specifically authorized otherwise by the veterinary division of the department of agriculture in writing. No exceptions for sailing vessels, day visitors or otherwise. Animals traveling without proper documentation may be denied entry or destroyed. Unless otherwise specified, an import permit is a single use document, which may be used at anytime up to the date of expiry (90 days).
